Secret Gardens have often lingered in my memory when the main structure surrounding them fades. Beside the famous Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, home of Rembrandt’s The Night Watch and other old masters, is a perfectly manicured garden behind a high hedge one could sit and enjoy for hours. I found a great 360 degree view of the main garden here although there is a more private and interesting one on the other side.

Small courtyard gardens can be very easy to create and maintain. Actually they can be created anywhere, even without soil by bringing in potted plants and arranging a variety of plants and fountains in a way that creates the impression of a real small courtyard garden. Ring us for information.
